blind musician

I went through classmates blogs, and after I read a post of Lindsay about a blind musician, I though about a pianist that I met about a month ago.
I took a teacher training course at 'School for Strings' and at a workshop, I met a pianist who was blind. She was about 50-year-old beutiful lady and an amazing pianist. However, she couldn't see/watch what other students were watching at the workshop. I felt so bad when she said that she felt more blind when everyone was laughing at the movie clip that we were watching. I wondered how she plays or study..oh well, there was a magic! she had this ipod for blind people and she recorded all the lectures. Also, she made calls to her friends. When she was pressing phone numbers, she listened to the button beeps and recognized the placement of numbers. My friend and I had lunch with her at the columbus circle and had a long talk as well. When we had to go back to school, she was listening to her watch clicking and she knew the exact time which was AMAZING!!
As what Lindsay mentioned on her post, the technology in music is getting better and amazing that EVERYONE can involves in music.
